Thermometer and Pressure gauge & Air vent
All pressure gauges and thermometer and air vent shall be installed where required as per the
approved shop drawing.
Thermometers for chillers and pumps are dial type bi‐metallic.
Thermometers for AHU’s are stem type. It will be available in straight model and 90deg.Angle
model with different stem length (110mm, 150mm, and 200mm), it can be used as per site
condition.
Make sure suitable length and type of thermos wells with female thread for installation of
thermometer.
Install thermometer just before the inspection only to avoid unnecessary damages.
Pressure gauge shall be installed with mini ball valve for the isolation purpose.
End of pressure gauge will be connected with ball valve and another end of ball valve will
connect.
To male threaded socket and this socket will be directly welded to chilled water pipe.
Gate Valve/ Globe Valve
Valves shall be installed with reference to approved shop drawing.
All manufacturer recommendation shall be followed.
Make sure the valves are parallel to pipe line and tightened properly.
Expansion Joint Installation and Building Expansion Joint
Whereever the chilled water pipe crossing through the build expansion joint, there SQW shall use ‘’U’’
type chilled water pipe fittings and it will be insulated as per manufacturer recommentation after the
hydrostatic pressure test approval.
